Parsons CEO Carey Smith Named Chair of Executive Mosaic’s 4x24 Group 1 Leadership

Aug 09, 2023

Parsons Chair, President and CEO Carey Smith has been appointed chair of Executive Mosaic’s 4×24 Group 1 Leadership.

The 4×24 executive leadership program is designed to connect senior industry leaders with influential government officials in a series of collaborative and supportive dinner events aimed at advancing critical missions across multiple focus areas.

Members of Group 1 Leadership represent the most senior executives within some of the largest and most well-known government contracting companies in the market. This 4×24 group provides the top leaders and decision makers of their respective organizations with opportunities to network and share information with their peers and public sector decision makers.

“I am honored to be appointed chairman of the Group 1 Leadership at Executive Mosaic for the second consecutive year,” said Smith, a five-time Wash100 Award winner. “The government contractor industry is a very important partner with the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, federal civilian and Capitol Hill communities.”

“This forum provides a unique opportunity for collaboration with c-suite and government executive leaders to discuss and drive acquisition reform, technology innovation and legislative priorities in support of our customers’ critical missions. Equally important is the networking opportunity with industry colleagues to find mutually beneficial areas of partnership. I feel fortunate to be involved in an executive business organization that makes a significant mission impact,” Smith added.

Smith has over three decades of experience in GovCon leadership, including time spent at Honeywell Aerospace, Lockheed Martin and other companies prior to joining Parsons.

“As the head of one of the most recognizable, growth-oriented and innovative government contractors in the marketplace, Carey is a natural choice to chair our most elite 4×24 class, Group 1 Leadership,” said Jim Garrettson, CEO of Executive Mosaic and founder of the 4×24 program. “We’re honored to have Carey back for another season of engaging and collaborative networking dinners, and we look forward to seeing her continued impact as she commands this esteemed group of senior leaders.”
